Hello Stampers!

Let me tell you we have had a break through at the kitten house this weekend! Always first thing in the morning when Lillian is let out of the bathroom she is full of play. Of course Isabella is full of interest and the kitty scrimmages begin! About an hour and a half of chasing each other about we settle down into a routine and we are good until we need to leave or it's sleep time and then we are back in hiding. Well, this weekend they got close! Check out the picture on the couch ! As you can see Isabella didn't take her eye off Lillian the whole time. Isn't it just precious?

I try to quilt. I think about it much more than I actually do it but that's okay. . . I'm gearing up! I have quite a collection of quilting patterns that I have collected along the way. I keep them tucked into a plain 'ole white binder. Well, that all came to an end this weekend! Check this out!

I made the insert out of the Sew Suite Designer Series Paper! I love that paper! I then created the quilt square from a Thangle pattern I had. LOVE IT! I used my Big Shot with some old dies I had laying around to create the title for my binder. Now I'm surely in style!

I also dabble with machine embroidery. Not as much as I would like but a little. I have a fear of ruining things and that holds me back. Well, yes you guess it, I have many embroidery designs that I have downloaded, mostly free, and I have them in page protectors along with the thread diagrams. So of course I had to do a binder insert for that to! Take a look. . . .

I made this using the Sew Suite Designer Series Paper to. I also used the Button Embosslit and Scallop Frame. The little girl die is really old and same with the font I used for the lettering. Embroidery was to long to spell out in a centered fashion so I did it messy! You might not be able to tell from her dress but that was Designer Series Paper to! Too Cute!

Are you like me, I'm afraid to cut into a brand new pack of Designer Series Paper? I break out into hives when I think about cutting into it. Well, that might be a little to heavy but you know what I mean! But, then why hoard it? There is life after Stampin' Up! retirement! LOL!!!

Hello Stampers!

Can you believe it took me a week to create this card? Seriously that is way to long!!! No, it's not the creative part or that it was hard to make but these darn kitties need supervised. I'm happy to report that they are starting to get along. We still have bouts of "nastiness" and it's on equal parts but there are fewer incidents each day. We still keep Lillian in the bathroom when we are not home and during the night. I'm not real happy about that but we need to keep Lillian who is the smallest separate. Did I tell you, when we had her to the vet for her first visit she only weighed 1.6 pounds?! She is way smaller than Izzie was at the same age.

Now to the matters at hand, the card! Isn't it lovely? I absolutely LOVE the Framelits Dies in the new Occasions Mini Catalog. Have you seen them? If not go quick either on-line or get your Occasions Mini and check out page 6! They are da' bomb (that's good thing)! I used the Labels Collection for my card. What I LOVE about them is they nest and for $26.95 you get 6 dies that all nest! It's wonderful! Check out the cut on the bottom of the card and the embossed matching line! That "cut" was created with the Edgelits Dies and the embossing was done with the Textured Impressions Embossing Folder! Wowsie! Taking card making to the next level! My card is Wisteria Wonder with Pretty In Pink and Very Vanilla. I used the ruffled Wisteria Wonder Ribbon. The stamp set is the Bordering on Romance and the Thoughts of You are both from the Occasion Mini catalog. I stamped the sentiment in Concord Crush so it shows up but isn't offensive. I, of course, I used Stampin' Write markers to color in the flowers and I also used Dazzling Diamonds to add sparkle.

Here is a picture of Lillian. Whilst I was typing this post she crawled into a Christmas Basket and I couldn't resist taking her picture! Hmm, I see I forgot to pack that basket away when I undecorated. I wonder how much other stuff I have forgotten. LOL!

I know, he isn't Stampin' Up! Come on, I'm sure you have something that's non-Stampin' Up! that you enjoy using. I can assure you that I'm mostly Stampin' Up! And if the die cut I used isn't I bet you the card stock is!

I acquired this Penguin Sizzix Die some time ago. I decided this year to make him into gift tags. I ran him through my Big Shot in Basic Black and then Whisper White cardstock. I snipped the belly and his face out so I could layer them onto the black. I used the Stampin' Up! Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack circle to punch out the Red, Orange and Black cardstock to layer for his eyes, cheeks and nose. I found the 2-way Glue to be the best adhesive for gluing it all together. I used the Stampin' Up! Black Stampin' Write Marker to write in his belly To and From. Look at the belly lines and feet accents; I used the uni-ball Signo Gel Pen! I have had a few customers tell me they have trouble with their Gel Pens drying up but yet they could see gel inside the barrel. I had one act all dried up once to. I bought a new one and I don't store it on end. I keep it in a bin so it lays horizontally and I haven't had any issues with it. I had lots of fun making these little guys and I wanted to share!

I'm trying something new, kits! I was drifting through the Occasion Mini catalogue and seen a few items that I thought would go really well together and the wheels got to turning and my first kit was born. Meet Lillian!

Meet Lillian!

Lillian is a Lilac Point Siamese and 7 weeks in this picture. It has been quite an adjustment period for us all. Isabella our, going on 3 years old, Blue Point Siamese and has been an only kitty. It has taken a week but I think we have made it through the "introductory" period. I was really getting a bit nervous when Isabella hid for three days. She would come out to eat but then would slink away to under Tyler's bed or the basement. On Tuesday of this week we had a huge break through where Izzie wanted to play and got pretty close to Lillian. But when we got home the hissing began! During the day we have Lillian in the guest bathroom when we are away at work and during the night. Don't worry she has all the amenities a spoiled kitty would need. We just don't know what Isabella might do. Especially after she hissed and carried on so. Today as I type is the first "normal" day we have had yet. She is such a sweetie. She sits in my lap when I stamp and in fact is in my lap right now! Her personality is so much different than Isabella. She is going to be a fine addition to our family. I have never had two kitties at once! I'm in for a real treat!

This is Isabella with her Christmas present a catnip moose. She really likes the moose. It's one that you put the dried catnip in the little pouch inside. I had it in a gift bag with loose catnip sprinkled in. She went nuts tearing at the tissue paper to free the moose!

This is a picture at the breeders. We drove to Marengo Ohio which is about three hours from home. Denise handed her to me and it was love at first sight! She snuggled down in my arms and was really content. I put her down for one last romp with her brothers & sisters and other kittens at the breeders and she sort of got tired. I sat the bed I was going to bring her home down in the cage and she actually crawled in it and fell asleep. Almost like she knew she was going home with us! the picture above is the picture I took of her after she crawled in the bed. Isn't she just adorable? She purrs real loud and sounds like a bad engine of a John Deere tractor! LOL!! Isn't her bed the cutest? My Mom made it actually for Isabella's trip home. We brought her home in it. . . well, we tried to but Isabella wouldn't sit still the whole way home. Lillian loved the bed and she only tried to crawl up my to my shoulder three times! Isabella never really used the bed but Lillian absolutely loves it!

So, I have been pretty busy playing referee and taking lots of pictures! So beware. . . you will be seeing many kitten pictures!

Happy New Years!

Okay, I'm a day late. . but if you have been following my blog you will see that is a bit of a trend with me. LOL!

No. No New Years Resolutions here! Sure I can think of a few like. . (clear voice) blogging everyday, showing a great card every day. . . the list could go on. So, because I don't like failure I'm not setting myself up for any! That way when time gets away from me I don't get overwhelmed!

The last day to shop from the Holiday Mini is tomorrow. The Stocking Builder Punch (Not the Bigz Die but the actual hand-held punch) will be DISCONTINUED and will not be available in any upcoming catalogues. So, if you really wanted it now is the time!

Hello Stampers!

Wow! It's been a long while since I last posted and I sincerely apologize. I have been very busy stamping but just not enough time in a day to get everything done. Something had to give and unfortunately it was blogging.

So, what have I been up to? Well, hmm, the Christmas shopping is done. My wrapping is about ninety-five percent done. The cookie baking is ninety-five percent done. Now I'm working on the cutest darn Gift tags. Unfortunately they consist of non Stampin' Up! Sizzix Dies but I'm going to share any way. I have a collection of dies that I acquired way before Stampin' Up! began carrying them and I still get those wonderful goodies as gifts from my family. And yes, sorry to disappoint anyone of you, I do use them! I do have a bunch of Stampin' Up! Stockings made using the Stocking Bigz Die from the Holiday Mini and I will be showing them in an upcoming post as well. That Stocking Die is one of my favorite Stampin' Up! dies! I had to charge the camera battery so I need to get the pics yet and prepare them for posting.

Today's card is from my Christmas Card Club. The last Club date was on Monday the 12th. It was lots of fun; the group of ladies where diverse and a fun group! I do have a Birthday Card Club forming and I will email all my local customers information about that club. I also have some neat ideas tucked up my sleeve that I hope to unveil in 2012.

This card features the large Doily stamp. I inked and stamped in White Craft Ink and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. I used the Stampin' Up! Sizzlit Tags Die and the extra Large Wide Oval punch to create the tag. This card is super easy to make but looks like a lot of fussing. I LUV those kind of cards, don't you?

Baking with Stampin' Up!

Happy Thursday!

You know, I was really skeptical when Stampin' Up! launched these silicon cookie press things. I was like. . what? I mean really what next? Well, I refused to buy them. I broke down. . . OMG! I mean really, look at that? How cute? Snowflake Peanut Butter Cookies!

Ready for the story?

So, I got up Wednesday morning to pack the guys lunches and discovered I was fresh out of "treats" for their pales. So, what does a good wife/mom do? I whip out the bag of Peanut Butter Cookie mix and start in baking cookies! Now, I don't usually use bagged cookie mix but I stumbled across this Peanut Butter Cookie mix and I love Peanut Butter Cookies so I had to try it. Now I keep a bag or two on hand just-in-case. So, I got them all divided up on the cookie trays and got out the fork to do the traditional "fork x-ings" and thought. . . Wait! I have those silly cookie things from Stampin Up! Let me try them! So, I got them out and wouldn't you know the snowflake was already stuck on the wood handle. So, I squashed away and what a mess I had. The cookie stuck to the silicon. So, me being the quick thinker that I am even if it is 6:15 am. . . I put sugar in a bowl and after I gently knifed the cookie off I sugared the press and started in again. So, actually dipping the press into the sugar was like re-inking! LOL!!!! I know. . . only me. I sugared and pressed all the way until they were all sporting snowflakes!

Now so I don't get emails asking if I fell of the Weight Watchers wagon I have not! I'm happy to report that 2 cookies is. . . (drum roll here) only 3 PPV's! That is if you get 30 cookies from one mix. I used a Pampered Chef small scoop and had 36! Notice the tense "had"? Yep, there are only probably 12 left! The guys loved them! I even got a few "Awe's" from them.

Thankful thoughts of you!

Here is a really super easy card! It's the patterned paper that makes this card along with the quilted ribbon from the Holiday Mini catalogue. the paper is from the Spice Cake collection. The Thankful thoughts of you stamp is from the Grateful Greetings stamp set. I used the Decorative Label punch and did that layer technique to make it stand out. It was a hit with the ladies at the 10-10 for ease!

Today I decorated for Christmas. I actually started Saturday late evening. I'm almost done. I just have a handful of items to re-locate and a few items that I can't find! I can't find my Santa night light! It has to be in the tree decorations tote as I have been through all the other decoration totes. Ugh, I hate when I do that! I also have a few items that need glued. You know those items that they use hot glue in the manufacturing process and somehow during the summer they fall apart? Tomorrow is back to work. I think I need the rest! It's also the first day of Buck hunting so watch the roads as what deer are left will be on the move.

I'm going to try to get all my Harvest 10-10 posts done so I can move on to Christmas. It seems I'm doing things "after" the fact and I need to get with the program! So here we go!

Thanksgiving Day was really nice. We went to my parents house and had dinner. I took the "bird" I cooked, green bean casserole, gravy, corn, pumpkin pie and pecan pie. My sister made mashed potatoes, broccoli, squash and sweet potatoes. Mom sat the table and made the stuffing. My Dad had surgery a week ago Wednesday and was released the day before Thanksgiving. We weren't exactly sure how the day would turn out. We went to the Erie Otters Game at 7:00 and the right away straight following the game we drove to Cabela's Wheeling West Virginia! I know! What were we thinking? Temporary insanity! See, there is furniture at Cabela's we want for our new room which I'm calling the "lodge" room. No, the room isn't done but the chair - rocking recliner in 3-D Seclusion is $200 off! Plus the first 800 shoppers get a prize! We arrived at 12:45 to Cabela's. Guessing from the line I think we were about 150 back from the door. We each won a $5.00 gift card. Finally about 4:00 the free coffee and cookie cart came around and that coffee was just what I needed. It was really different for us. We have never done anything so impulsive in all our lives! Memories! The store open at 5:00 am. We had our chair bought and picked up a few items and went to the cafeteria so TJ could re-group. Jim decided he wanted a drumstick - ice cream. TJ wasn't so sure about eating ice cream at 6 in the morning but he sure enjoyed it! I myself had a Diet Pepsi. I never would drink a diet soda before 10:00 am. It doesn't taste good and just isn't right. But this Diet Pepsi was really good and I'm a Diet Coke drinker! LOL!!!! We left Cabela's about 8:00 and TJ was asleep before we were 2 miles away! We drove over to Kraynaks in Hermitage, PA and did a little shopping. I stayed awake for 36 hours! We went to bed about 6:00 Friday night and I slept till 5:50 Saturday morning! A much needed rest!

Today's card is the wonderful huge Hello Doily! S.I.M.P.L.E! The Give Thanks is from Hand Penned Holiday stamp set and I stamped them in Top Boss embossing and used the Wild Wasabi embossing powder. Pretty! Love the simplicity of this card.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I have seen on numerous blogs and Facebook posts regarding what folks are thankful for. I'm thankful for every aspect of my life. It seems to odd to me to list things or people I'm thankful for as I'm thankful for every person and thing that has touched my life. I could list them but the order of importance depends on how each "thing" or person has touched my life as each has touched me differently. Even the not so "pleasant" of experiences I'm thankful for as they have helped mold me into the person I am today. Of course my wonderful husband is at the top of the list and then my awesome son, Isabella, parents, aunt, extended family and of course my friends and we can't leave out STAMPS! LOL!!!

Today's Thanksgiving card is featuring two stamps from the Warmest of Wishes hostess stamp set from the Holiday Mini catalogue and the Delicate Doily three-step punch (but I only used two-steps). I chose Pear Pizazz and Peach Parfait for my colors and used the Stampin' Write Markers to color the leaves of the wreath. It is sort of "basic" but I really like the card. I added the Peach Parfait ribbon just for a little texture. You might notice some "blemishes" those are 10-10 battle wounds! You know the card accidentally gets dropped or falls into the ink pad or something along those lines (smile). I really need to remember to take pictures before the event.

I was up early this morning to get the "bird" in the oven. It's a big one! It's all I could do to lift it up with one hand to get it in the oven bag! But I won out that little battle. It's been in the oven since 7:00 am. Jim is out vacuuming and washing his truck. Tyler is probably playing on his computer and after I'm done with this post I'm going to stamp!

Nice. Simple. Pretty. Isn't this card nice, simple and pretty? I think so. But it packs an impression and that is what I love about the stamp set Baroque Motifs. I have made this card similarly with switching the colors and sentiment. I've made it Christmas, wedding and now fall and all mainly with switching colors! I used Pumpkin Pie and Always Artichoke for the colors. I love the tag. It is the Sizzlits set called Lots of Tags. I don't use the tags to this set enough and I don't know why. . .but I have started!

What a weekend. Why do they have to go by so darn fast? I have been to the city three days in a row. My Dad is in the hospital and I have been visiting him and doing a little shopping to. Shopping. Ugh! It's been a long while since I have been clothing shopping. I mean like two years since I have done serious shopping for myself in the clothing department. . . that is. It's no secret I'm on Weight Watchers and I'm real close to my goal. With that comes the fact that my clothes are a bit baggy. I'm not sure what has happened in the apparel industry in the past two years but nothing is "right". The t-shirts are thin and long. The jeans are real narrow in the legs and if I can get them to fit my legs they have huge gaps at the waist. I think I see some eighties styles emerging here and there and I don't like it! Even my favorite store has gone to pot! I used to be able to walk through there and have to seriously talk myself out of buying one of everything. Now, I have to talk myself into liking some of these outrageous styles. I found a top I liked and a pair of jeans and I stood in line. I see this lady walking around in a black long sleeve t-shirt with a really cute quilted vest and a scarf. Now this isn't an outdoor type vest that you'd find ten years ago. It's cute quilted and has zipper pockets and nice details and lines. The lady with her had the same vest on a hanger so I realized the vest was in the store. STOP! WAIT! I didn't see that! So, I get out of line and start following these women around the store. Then I seen the vest! Oh my it's a really cool raspberry color. . . sort of like Rich Razzleberry! So I grab it and the lady that had the same vest on turns to me and says "I love mine, oh great color on you". Well, dang, I just had to buy it now! I even found a black long-sleeve T and a fun scarf! I wore the ensemble to church today all except the scarf. I really wanted to wear it but TJ said it was to "blingy" for church. So, I reluctantly left the scarf at home. BUT, when we went to visit Dad you can bet ole' Button Bear stamp set I wore that scarf! Dad liked it (but today he likes everything (smile). Mom loved it and even a woman complimented me on it in the elevator! It's a keeper! Tyler still doesn't like it and he can't believe some stranger told me they liked my scarf! LOL!!!

Always Thankful!

Grateful! This is the time of year for reflecting upon all the people we are grateful for touching and enriching our lives. It's also a wonderful time of year as the seasons are changing and we are able to use more richer color tones than we do all year.

Saturday I had my Harvest 10-10. The next several cards that I show over the next week or so (more like so) will be cards from the Harvest 10-10. It was a fun afternoon of stamping! This image and sentiment is from the Always Thankful stamp set in the Holiday Mini. I used three colors: Old Olive, Cajun Craze and Rich Razzleberry. The colors on my monitor don't do this card justice so I hope it looks much better on yours! LOL!!! I used the Lace Ribbon Punch for the center strip in Cajun Craze. Look at the pretty frame around Grateful! That is from the Sizzlit Tags set in the Idea Book & Catalogue. I stamped Grateful on Ivory and then used the Extra Wide Oval Punch to punch it out and it fits perfectly into the tag. I'm lovin' it! I used the Stampin' Write Markers to color in the wheelbarrow. Oh! The background is Versamark using the Confetti stamp set little leaf pattern. FTL!

TJ is over his first quarter at the High School and he did really well. He achieved High Honors with his all A's! We are so proud of him! He loves math and thinks he wants to be a math teacher. Which totally amazes me. If I don't have a calculator I'm stumped! Hi Dad is good in math when it comes to figuring out concrete, how much insulation is needed for the ceiling and that sort of stuff. I guess we compliment each other!

Isabella has been quite the naughty kitty lately. I'm not sure what has gotten into her. Someone gave TJ a little wooden cross on purple yarn - like a necklace. I hung it over his picture in the living room. I also have little snapshots that we get in the mail from family stuck in the frame against the glass. Well, Saturday I was vacuuming for the Harvest10-10 and I found the cross on the floor. I didn't think much of it and hung it back up. Well, Saturday night Issy got up on the stand and stood up on her hind legs and pawed her way up the wall stretching as far as she could and started batting at the cross. Well, we got her down and end of story. End of story until Sunday night. We were watching our Sunday night show and she starts in again. Well we got her to quit and then it was bed time. We just crawl into bed and get all hunkered down and it started. I could hear the little cross bumping the wall and the frame. Jim gets up and puts in the drawer of the stand and crawls back into bed. Then I heard this "shflip - shflip" sound and that sound was those little pictures being pawed at. So this time I get up and put the little pictures in the stand. She finally got bored and went to sleep! Ugh! But, she is so cute! Cute as a button!

Well shower time and soon to call it a night!

Greeting Card Kids~

I love the Greeting Card Kids set. Just look at this card! It has sweetness, cuteness written all over it and it's a get well card! I just love the Designer Series Print Paper and how everything is just so matchy matchy. Look at those polka-dots! I love polka-dots. I would use them on every card but then they all would sort of look the same. Even if I changed colors they would just be sort of "dotty". So, I save them up for special occasions. The color combination I chose is Rose Red with Regal Rose. I colored the girls in with Stampin' Write Markers. I used the Decorative Label Punch for the Get Well stamped sentiment. Don't you love the swirly thing that the Get Well has going on? That stamp is from the Perfectly Penned stamp set. The little bit of ribbon is Rose Red Seam Binding. I have a bunch of cards made. Mainly cards that are left from 10-10's and what not. But, sometimes I need a special card for someone special and this just takes the cake for me! "FTL!!!"

Yes, I haven't posted much lately. I've been busy. I sewed with the girls (shout out to Barbie and Mom) on Saturday. We are working on a quilt project. I have all my blocks made now I just have to square them up. So far I have only made 1 mistake but it affected 3 blocks. Once it's done you'll never know. I will and if I don't tell you won't. Smile.

I also have been trying to walk on my treadmill. I'm 5 pounds away from my goal weight and for some reason (me) I can't seem to lose them. I have major weekend issues! During the week I can stay right on track. On the weekends it's like I forgot all those new behaviors. Then once Monday comes I'm back to being a perfect Weight Watcher. That would be fine if I was at goal! Ugh!

Saturday night my sister-in-law, Tyler and I went to see the 3-D movie Puss-N-Boots. I was really worried about the 3-D thing due to my motion sickness issue but only once did I think I was in serious trouble. I took off the glasses and looked anywhere but the big screen. It passed quickly. A couple other times it was just a little bad but the scenery changed and it went away. 3-D is really perfected since I was little. I remember the shows being blurry and we had to wear these red and blue glasses. Remember? One lens was red the other blue? These were like tinted gray lenses. It was really sort of cool. Fast! This was a super quick card to make. Don't you just love cards that are cute, simple and quick as a snap to make? This is it. Grab half sheet Old Olive, a layer of Real Red, Designer Series Paper of your liking - this is retired from last year, a scrap of Early Espresso and Run that through your Big Shot using the Tasteful Trim Die, Ink the Noel stamp from the Warmest of Wishes Hostess set (Holiday Mini) with Real Red Classic Ink, punch with the Decorative label Punch, add two tiny brads and whoola! You have your self a quick, cute and thoughtful because you made it all yourself card!

This was one of the cards we have made during our monthly Christmas Card Club get-togethers. I think it is the quickest card yet that I had for the ladies to make. I really like it.

Routing through the stash of Designer Series Paper is fun. I just never know what I'm going to bring up that works for a project. I find the most common size I use my DSP for is either 4 x 5-1/2 or 3/4 x 5. When I get a pack I usually start in with cutting up one sheet 4 x 5-1/2 and then if I need 3/4 x 5 I cut it down from there. That way when I'm scrambling to make a card I can grab one of my pre-cut layers and go at it. It might not work for you but it sure save's me some time. I do keep one full sheet in case I want to make a sleeve card or need a long piece to run through the Big Shot. I also like to save all my scraps. Sometimes I can alter them or layer and use on the card with other coordinating DSP.

Decor Elements not just for decorating!

I think I spend 50% of my time in my craft room trying to find something! Seriously I bet I'm not the only out there that spends more time hunting for goodies than actually stamping or doing whatever your favorite hobby is. I get sick and tired of looking! So, I decided to make searching for dies an easier task. Look at what I have been up to lately. Yup! That's white Decor Elements that I have cut and "labeled" my dies with so I know exactly what I'm looking for. You know how sometimes the name of a die is a bit mis-leading, like the Perfect Pennett Die, yes there is pennants but there is also those Doily looking things. So if I'm in a hurry hunting and can't find it by it's name now I have a perfect example of what each die actually is! Here is a tip for ya. . . don't wait until you have a bunch to do. It can get really costly. I suggest buying a pack with every four Bigz XL dies you buy or 8 regular original size. I'm even doing my Sizzlets! I keep those in a little wicker basket and they usually are just jumbled in there and it's easier to look for the "picture" than to read that darn little label. Decor Elements come in Crumb Cake, Chocolate, White, Real Red, Old Olive, Black, Clear and even Chalkboard. I don't suggest using the last three colors or Chocolate as when applied to the die's won't show up very well. Decor Elements are sold in sheets of 2 measuring 14 x 24 and sell for $12.95. I saved all my little ends and what not for doing the Sizzlets just to save a little.

Spice Cake 2

Hello!

Here is yet another Spice Cake Birthday card. This was fun to make and quick. All the print paper is from the Spice Cake Designer Series Paper offering. Remember it has two sides therefore it coordinates! I used Pear Pizazz for the main Card Stock and accent from the Perfect Pennet Bigz Die (that Doily looking thing under the scallop circle). I inked the Happy Birthday using Stampin Write Markers and then punched it out with the Scallop Circle Punch. I think I forgot to mention on the last post how I did that and what set I used! The stamp is from the Hostess set Happiest Birthday Wishes. I love everything about that Hostess Set! I tied it up using the Victoria Crochet Trim with Pear Pizazz Seam binding. Big shout out to Travis for her October Birthday!

I like layering Designer Series Paper and it's such a snap to do when the paper coordinates. I love Stampin' Up's Designer Paper as it makes layering with paper's easily plus they coordinate as well to their ribbons, card stock and inks! Love the matchy-matchy thing going on here!

Happy Birthday Shelli!

Stampin' Up's! Founder, Shelli, turned 50 this month. All demonstrators were invited to send her a card. We were to send them to the home office and they would all be put into a big box and given to her. Wow! How can anyone possibly make a card for the Founder and not have it be exquisite? At first I thought uh-huh, nope not doing that. It just wouldn't be good enough. Well then I seen the Spice Cake Designer Series Paper and thought it looked "Shelli worthy" and in fact it is a Shelli Favorite Pick so how could I go wrong and I started creating.

I have a lot of October birthdays to celebrate so I started in and I will be posting them this week!

Shelli's card features: Soft Suede & Pear Pizazz Card Stock, Spice Cake Designer Series Paper, Antique Brad & Victoria Crochet Trim, Pear Pizazz Seam Binding, Doily Punch, Bigz Perfect Pennet Die, Scallop Circle Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' Write Markers (marker technique on stamped image) and Stampin' Sponge with Crumb Cake Classic Ink to distress the card stock & Designer Paper. This card actually looks like a lot of work but it really isn't. I love the "busy-ness" to this card. Lots to take in or better known as "texture".

I have learned never to say never to making someone a card. You just never know how great it may turn out!

This is one of the stamps from the Hostess set from the Holiday Mini Warmest of Wishes. I already posted the Owl which was the main reason I wanted the set. However, I do LOVE this wreath! I used the marker technique. . yes again, to get the different colors of the wreath. Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Always Artichoke and the colors I used. The main card is Cajun Craze, second layer - More Mustard, third layer is Pattern Print Paper. Do you like the octagon I created? I wanted something a bit different to showcase my stamped piece and I got to playing with the cutter until I came up with that. Don't look to close at the different colored card stocks as I used the paper cutter guide as a "guide" when cutting the borders so they show and so it isn't perfect. BUT if I wanted perfect I would have bought a card! :) I just love scallops so I was pleased when a scallop oval worked perfect! I sponged around the edges of both Very Vanilla pieces to add a little. . . color! The sentiments are from Petite Pairs stamp set in the Idea Book & Catalogue. That was one of those sets I knew I had to have when I seen it and went on the "list"!

Button Buddies?

Hmm, I'm not so sure about this stamp set Button Buddies.

When the new catty came out and I seen it I wasn't head over heals about it. When I skim through the catty and I see a set I really like I know it right away and it goes on the "list". This set didn't talk to me at all and wasn't on that "lists". Then I started seeing cards on blogs I surf and it showed up in my radar. Then I seen some possibilities so I ordered it. Well, now the possibilities were all CASE'd cards and I couldn't come up with anything as cute as what I seen so there the set sat. When I decided to kick up this blogging a bit and sat down last Saturday and created I wanted to use the set to prove to myself I'm worthy of having it. However, I don't think this card is just "it". It isn't my style and the card doesn't talk to me. There are a few things I do like about it. I love the dotted ribbon, but why did I put the tails from the oval? I do like the trio affect of pumpkins and liked that I did the marker technique on each. I do like the button I chose and the Espresso Baker's Twine I used to tie it off. The Pattern Paper and card stock are Pumpkin Pie. I ran the pattern paper through the Square Lattice Textured Impressions folder and I do like the affect that created. I guess the card isn't all that bad. I think it is the ties from the oval I don't like. I should have tied off the ribbon going around the seam of the two papers! Yep, that's it!

I really argued with myself to post or not. I decided to post as beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So, if it doesn't appeal to me maybe it does to you? I'm going to force myself to sit down with the set again and see if I can't come up with something I call "Rosa-worthy"!

What a great weekend we are having! I got up early yesterday and baked some cookies for the "boys". Can you believe I burnt my finger on the oven rack? I have never done that and let me tell you it SMARTS! I know it's going to blister and be nasty in a day or two.

I know I've mentioned it before but I LOVE the Turtle & Company stamp set. I don't think I really ever talked about the Stampin' Up! significance behind the stamp set before. For every Turtle & Company stamp set sold Stampin' Up! will donate $3.00 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. To date with the help of demonstrators and customers Stampin' Up! has contributed over $1,000,000 to RMHC! Each year there is a new stamp set. I especially love this years!

I love the "fun" this card has. I used the In-Color ensemble Island Indigo. I think this little guy needs to wish BIG! I used Stampin' Write Markers to color in the snail "guy". Remember each color group whether it be In-Colors or our standard color line-up; Stampin' Up! matching card stock, Designer Pattern Paper, Classic Inks, and embellishments. This card features Designer Pattern Paper, and my favorite Ruffled Ribbon! The detail on the ribbon is awesome! The punch featured is the Curly Label Punch.

How do you like the look of the text? I'm trying something new. I can't seem to figure out why Blogger is putting all these huge gaps between paragraphs. I always seem to be in a hurry and don't take the time to figure it out. well, I happened to notice a button to. . . Hmm. . . I can't remember what it exactly says. . . Any way it is a neat new format for posting! So, this is a test to see if it corrects the paragraph issue!

Diamond Fold Card!

Hello Stampers!

Wow, I know this is like four posts four days in a row! Today is a short post as I'm a bit busy.

I have seen this Diamond Fold cards on several blogs recently and thought I would give it a whirl. I'm happy to say it turned out rather nicely. Although my diamond seems to be centered to the right a hair. Jim has been way to busy to help me figure the dimensions out so I'm just leaving it a little right centered. Sort of like me! LOL!!!! I used the Pumpkin Pie Print Paper, Chocolate Chip & Pumpkin Pie card stock to work up this little gem. I even used my favorite Chocolate Chip Dot Scalloped Ribbon. This little scary owl is from the Hostess Warmest of Wishes stamp set in the Holiday Mini catalog. It's quite the value! $13.00 for Wood or $10.00 in Clear if you chose it with your Hostess Money. I inked the owl in Chocolate Chip and punched him out with the matching Owl Punch. I inked him in Pumpkin pie and used paper snips to snip out the treat bag he's holding and adhered that with a glue dot. I then colored in with a black Stampin' Write Marker his halloween mask! It's to cute!

Oooh, I love this card! The Designer Series Paper is "Spice Cake" from the Holiday Mini Catalog (page 17). I really love the colors. Fall and festive! I made this for my friend Terry for her Birthday! Big Shout out to Terry! Her birthday was Monday. She loves the color Soft Sky. When I showed her the new In-color Pool Party I knew she would like it almost as much as Soft Sky. So, when I was thinking of her and what her card should be it didn't take me long to think of Pool Party.

Lots going on with this card. First off it's a neat fold. I will have to learn to do a video so I can demonstrate how to make it. Because it's double sided paper when you fold it whatever is the other side also shows! I used the Scallop Lace Punch for the border under the stripped fold. Now, I didn't have Pool Party ribbon but I used Baja Breeze Seam Binding. Depending what light the card is in sometimes it's real noticeable and other times it is quite subtle. Remember the Bird Builder Punch? I have never used it very much. Really, not sure why just don't think to grab it. I wanted a nice embellishment to stick up there on the Very Vanilla "message" sheet. That sheet is cut 4" and slides in and out of the sleeve. So, I used the Bird Builder Punch and punched the birdie out in Pool Party and the branch in Certainly Celery. The word Cherish comes to us from the "Baroque Motifs" stamp set. I punched out with the Large Oval and layered with the Scallop Oval Punch in Pool Party.

This is a quick card and one that packs a lot of meaning! Happy Birthday Terry!

Halloween Treats!

Have you seen the Cellophane Bag on page 11 of the Holiday Mini catalog? They are really narrow 1" x 8" long. I think they are SO fun!

Lookie here! I used the Batty For You stamp set and Stampin' Write Markers to color in each image. I then with coordinating card stock (Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive) Punch larger circles to layer. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to POP the image off the card stock. Filled the baggies and tied off with the black & silver ribbon.

Story time! So, I'm on Weight Watchers, right? Yes. In fact I'm almost to goal but I keep doing stupid stuff (like eating) and I can't seem to lose that darn last 5 pounds. So, I go to Giant Eagle because in order to make stuff to post on the blog I have to have goodies to put inside, right? Yep, that's my way of thinking. So I get in line and who is the check-out clerk, but another gal from my Weight Watchers meeting. Check-out girl: Aren't you from my Weight Watchers meeting? Me: Yes, yes I am. Check-out girl: Hmph (proceeds to check out all this stinkin' candy. Me: Trust me, I'm not eating this stuff. I'm making projects to post on my blog. I might have one Kit-Kat but that's as far as it go with eating this stuff. I actually bought my own candy to eat, you know the sugar-free stuff, when I got groceries this past week. I have that in a jar on my stampin' desk that I decorated with Decor Elements. Check-out girl: Uh, huh. As you can see I talk to dang much but it is true! While stuffing these little bags I only ate one Skittle (that's what's in the Old Olive bag) and 3 M&M's (Pumpkin) and ONLY because they fell out onto the desk while I was filling the bags. AND let me tell point out that they have to be hand fed one by one into the little baggies! They have like static electricity and don't want to stay open for filling.

I did have a Kit-Kat BTW and it was delish!

Happy Halloween!

Halloween will be here at the end of the month and I thought I best get showing my creations I have made up thus far.

Isn't this card cute? It's the turtle from Turtle & Co. stamp set and the witches hat from Jack of all trades stamp set fell on top of the turtle! He's trying to navigate with the hat on! I thought it was cute. . . Happy Halloween is from the Hand-Penned Holidays stamp set in the Holiday Mini Catalog. I'm not sure if I like it with the turtle as it seems it's more elegant. But, then there is absolutely nothing very elegant about Halloween. . . is there? LOL!! The colors are Black, Pumpkin Pie & Concord Crush. I used the Decorative label Punch on each set of corners trying something new. I used the Spider Web Embossing Folder for the back ground of the card. Now, Happy Halloween is embossed with Tangerine Tango Embossing Powder. If you look real close it doesn't match the Pumpkin Pie card stock but I still like it. It was a fun card to make.

I have a little story about Panera Breads. It's one of those this is how clutsey I am so sit back and have a little laugh. I met my friend at a local fabric store and after we shopped we decided we would go to Panera's for coffee. I ordered up our coffees and a Cinnamon Roll to share. I was watching her pour the coffee from one of those thermos things and thought it looked really hot and that I needed ice. Whenever I go to for coffee I always ask for two, yes two, ice cubes. Well I decided I would walk over to the soda dispensing machine and get some ice to put in. At first I used my hand but the ice came out and well it was sort of hard to juggle. I then decided, now please do not try this, to stick my cup of hot coffee under the ice thingy and push. Well! That darn ice came out of the shoot a big clump and splashed the coffee out of the cup and all over my wrist. It was horrible. Now at home I would have thrown a real fit. You know jumping up and down with some nice choice of words. Well, I'm a lady and can't do that in public! Then the two women who watched the whole episode unravel just stood there. Not one offered to take the cup from me or hand me napkins. Nope, they just stood watching me and they were in the way of the napkins! Like excuse me? I need a napkin before my skin slinks off my wrist would be nice! Luckily and I'm happy to report my skin didn't slink off my wrist but it was sure red. But, by time I got home you couldn't tell I just had a loosing battle with ice and coffee. But, my jacket smells nicely of Medium Roast Panera Bread coffee!

The Albion Fair was last week and I'm so glad it's over. It was really COLD! What is up with that? It was fun seeing folks I haven't seen in a long-time but standing around in the booth can get a bit cold. I wasn't there in a stamping capacity. I was there for my "real" job. A big shout-out to everyone that stopped by!

As soon as I seen this stamp set I just knew I had to have it. Isn't this a cute card? I think so and not just because I created it! LOL! I'm so into pattern paper and love the fact that Stampin' Up's coordinates with all their products. What better way to "color" your world! So, I sat down with the Brights Pattern Paper collection and flipped through the pack looking for a color I hadn't used and stopped right on Old Olive. Yep, that's the one I decided to use. I then got hold of a piece of Old Olive cardstock for my card and some extra for layer pieces and set out to create. Once I decided my layered lay-out I attacked the turtle! Ah, not really! I wanted a whimsical card and wanted my turtle to be doing something productive and seeing that I was putting a gift card inside I decided what better way to make him productive but to carry all those presents on his shell. I must admit it did take me a few stampings to get it just right. But that's okay. . . I like to be fussy and after all it is fun. After I had it just perfect I began coloring with Stampin' Write Markers. I used the Decorative Label Punch and the Hostess Set Happiest Birthday Wishes for the Happy Birthday sentiment. I then punched the Decorative Label again but this time in Old Olive and for the first time ever I cut that Label out horizontally and layered it long-ways instead of having the ends sticking out. I did this because there wasn't enough color against the white on white so I popped it out! Totally lovin' this card!

Hello Stampers!

My how time flies by! We have gotten a lot done on the addition. The addition actually looks like a room now. The roof is done on the new part & the windows are in. I think the roof has been the most stress of the entire project thus far. It was so steep! For those of you who appreciate roof lingo it's an 8-12 pitch & they used these things called roof jacks to get along. The roof was just finished this weekend along with the windows installed. The windows are really nice and have grids in them. I have always wanted grids in my windows! The sliding door is still on order so we aren't quite "buttoned" up yet.

I haven't stamped much other than getting ready for the monthly Christmas Card club. I was having terrible withdraws. Actually I was getting a little cranky. Finally last Thursday, I think it was, I went down to my room and started in. I got two cards done one of which I'm showing you now. Isn't it just the cutest? I used Pumpkin Pie Patterns Designer Series paper in the Brights Collection. I LUV print papers especially when everything coordinates. Matchy - matchy I say! I'm especially fond of polka-dot paper! Don't ask my why I just LUV it! I stamped the girl in Staz On Black and colored her in with Stampin' Write Markers. Her hat and cape are actually colored with Concord Crush! I think it might look a little black but the look I was after was a dark purple. I tied the new Early Espresso Quilted Ribbon in a not and the word Hi is from Fabulous Phrases. You can't tell from the picture but the word Hi is actually on a tag punched from the Jewelry Tag Punch. The larger scallop is a Big Shot die that I had from Sizzix. I paper pierced around it and punched the vanilla using the 2 1/2" Circle Punch. This card really did the trick to get me out of my non-stamping slump I was in. Now I want to create more! Hopefully with fall coming. . . or is it here? Whatever the case may be I'm hoping to get to do more stamping and sharing with you!

Hello Stampers!

Yep, I've been away again from posting! I just can't keep up this summer so I'm no longer even trying! I will post what I have when I have it and hopefully this fall I can get on to some sort of schedule. This summer has been fun & stressful all in the same. The addition is coming along. As I type they are building a "wall". Due to the nature of the building I'm only holding the Christmas Club at my house until further notice. Once the building is "weather tight" (as I keep hearing that term) I can press on and start back having stamping festivities at the house. I already had to cancel one because they decided to pour the floor the evening of my Birthday Card Bonanza workshop.

This past weekend we went to Michigan for the Michigan 400 NASCAR race. We had an absolutely wonderful time. The race was not a sit-on-the-edge-of-your-seat sort of race but it was fun only Kyle Busch won. We are all Jeff Gordon fan's here!

This card is a card from my upline's Mystery Hostess event she had back in July. It features the Pennant Parade stamp set and die. I really like this card. I love cards that have lots of elements! She used Stampin' Dimensionals to pop-up the pennants. Look at the cone! How totally cute is that! The colors are Soft Suede, So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie. Very Cute!

Happy Sunday Stampers!

Wish Big and it will come true! We have been wishing to add on to our house for about 6 years, now or is it 7, and for one reason or another we kept pushing it back? Well, this spring my husband decided that this was it! So the planning started, permits gotten and ground "broke". The only thing is we have to work around the blasted weather! I scheduled my Birthday Card Bonanza for August 11th. It was a Thursday and I thought it was safe. Well, it wasn't and I had to on the spare of the moment cancel it because Jim decided to that Thursday late afternoon we would pour the cement. I really hem/hawed around deciding to postpone or not but I'm glad I did. The cement truck was late and the guys worked and worked to "work" the cement. and I was able to cook them dinner around 7:30. My responsibility is to make sure that the workers are well fed and hydrated. Here is the picture of what was going on that night.

Seeing that I didn't get to have the Birthday Card Bonanza stamping night I'm posting the 5 samples here on my blog all hopefully within the next few weeks.

This card. . . Wish big was fun to make and coordinated nicely with products from the Summer Mini Catalog. The nautical anchor paper is called Nautical Expedition and the background color is Early Espresso. So, I used Early Espresso Card Stock, then a layer of Crumb Cake and then the anchor Designer Series Paper. I then stamped the sail boat in Early Espresso onto Crumb Cake and then layered that onto another piece of Early Espresso and used the Ticket Corner Punch on both pieces. From the stamp set Word Play I inked with Early Espresso the Wish Big stamp and stamped it on crumb cake then punched it out with the X-Wide Oval Punch. I used the Early Espresso/White Baker's Twine to give the Wish Big oval some "tails" and then used Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up! Phew! It turned out rather nicely, I thought! :)

So, the cement was poured Thursday evening and we put the sill plate on Friday evening and the floor was built on Saturday! Things are coming along! We are awaiting trusses now so there is going to be a delay in building. . . that's okay we all need to rest up! I even helped Saturday afternoon!

Happy Saturday Stampers!

I just wrote an entire post on my darling Elephant card I made only to find I haven't downloaded it from my camera yet. Seeing I'm on a time schedule today I'm posting this pretty card my friends. This is another card from my uplines Mystery Hostess event I helped her with July 9. Isn't' it just lovely. It's Concord Crush (2011 In-Color for one more year) and this years new In-color Wisteria Wonder. So very pretty. She used the new Lace Border Punch and blinged it up with the half pearls! Isn't that pretty!! The floral design was stamped with VersaMark and topped off with Clear Embossing Powder. The rest is pretty self explanatory you know the scallop oval and large oval punches! ;)

I have a bunch of cards ready to post but we are super busy so as I get time I will post them up. I need to get the elephant up as it's super cute and I saved the post in my drafts! Wait to you see him!

Happy Wedneday Stampers!

I still have two cards to show from my uplines event but I just had to show this one! Isn't this little elephant just the cutest? When I seen him I knew right away he was a must-have! He was cute in the catalog but he's even cuter stamped and colored! I colored him in using the Watercolor Crayons and a blender pen. I get a lot of questions on how I color. I use circular motions with the blender pen or marker. First I lightly outline the item and then where there is shading marks in the stamped image I put a couple swipes of the crayon there. If I want highlight, such as on my elephant today - I put pink in his ears and the center of his truck and a just a smidgen on his belly. I just sort of scribble the pink on lightly. As I use the circular technique using the Watercolor Crayons I start in a location and gently start circling picking up a little crayon on each pass. I work it through until I get the desired result. It's so therapeutic! It's just me and the elephant! Sounds weird, huh? Weird but FUN! I love Designer Series paper so when I used Marina Mist from the huge pattern paper pack and layered it up. I'm LOVIN' the scallop dotted ribbon so I, of course, I had to use some on my project so everything is "matchy - matchy".

I'm so excited! I placed my pre-order from the Holiday Mini August 1st! I hope I have time to create something new from the mini to post once I get my goodies. I have a busy busy week. My glasses will be in, I have to finish getting goodies for the 50th party we are having for my parents on Saturday and then the party of Saturday. Phew, and if that isn't enough we are building an addition on the house! I can totally assure you I'm busy and not just wanting to slack off making cards! I wish I was independently wealthy; I'd quit the family business! LOL!!!!

Happy Tuesday Stampers!

Today's card features the new stamp set Delicate Doilies and is sporting Baja Breeze colors. AND the new Lace Ribbon Border Punch! I'm so loving the new punch along with the Seam binding ribbon. Do you see the little pearl I put in the center of the doilie? I also Smooched Spritzed the card to give it a little pearly look to go along with the pearl! It's a super simple quick card to make when you are in a hurry and. . . no coloring!

OMG! Wait until you see the Holiday Mini Catalog! It is jammed packed with wonderful goodies! Stampin' Up! has a scoring tool called Simply Scored! It will be available September 1! I can't wait. The best thing about it. . it has 1/8" score lines clean across it. My old one doesn't and sometimes I have to do a bunch of measuring to figure out which score line is the closest to what I need. Another cool feature it will have movable place markers that you can set so if you are on a big project you can't mess up. . . well, only if you put them in the wrong spot to begin with! Woo Hoo!

Hello Stampers!

It was a beautiful weekend! We went camping at Shenango Valley RV Park this past weekend in honor of Tyler's 15th birthday. We had a super time. Our friends from Kentucky were up and visited. We swam in the pool and roasted really huge marshmallows it was super fun! Hot. . . .

Today's card is pretty and uses the Strength and Hope stamp set in the Summer Mini. Stampin' Up! is donating $2 from each purchase of this set to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The card is a creation of my upline Linda Bauwin. In fact the next four blog posts are from an event that I helped her with and she let me make a set of the cards so I'm sharing with you! I love to share! Our "styles" are quite different and it's fun to share those different styles. After all we aren't all created equal, right? I have to admit that the cards are pretty but sadly, for me, there is no coloring on any of them. (If you don't follow my blog regularly I love to color.) Check out the pretty ribbon it is the Chocolate Chip Scalloped polka-dot ribbon. I love this ribbon! The next thing to check out is the Pool Party In-Color! Isn't it pretty? AND one more thing to check out is how she cut the label punch. I have always cut it vertically and glued it to the ends. I have never seen it cut horizontally and I love it! I can't figure out why I can't figure this whole cutting punch things apart to make layers concept. I mean really, if I cut it vertically I should be able to figure it out for myself that I can cut it horizontally to! Ugh! But us stampers are a "sharey" sort of group so we learn from each other!

Turn up the heat?

Yes, it's been quite hot & humid up North so this card even though the stamp set is retired the rest isn't and one item is BRAND NEW! I have a really cool sister-in-law. Her birthday is just one day past mine and yes, she is a bit older than I. We kid back and forth and can be sarcastic from time to time. This card is just perfect for our bantering. "Did someone turn the heat up in here?" and on the inside it says. . ."or is it the heat from your birthday candles!" Perfect! I used Designer Series Paper and I also used the Brand New Lace Border Punch! I just love the texture this little bit of punch gives to cards. So far I haven't seen a bad card using that punch so it's a great go-to tool.

Yes, it's hot in Lake City, PA which is about 20 minutes west from Erie. It's been hot up here for a couple days now in the 80's. I love it hot. . .but it's HOT! Tyler and I rode our bikes to my sisters which is 6.5 miles from here which translates into a 45 minute bike ride and we have a couple nasty hills to contend with. We left about 1:00 pm and returned by 5:30. Our mission was to enjoy her new pool. . . huge pool. . it's the size of the Pacific! Really it's the biggest round one you can get! Well, after the ride up I was already covered in sweat and then we played in the pool. After the pool play I noticed I was a bit red. Not a color I like to be! I had a pretty good base tan already. I decided I best put on sun screen for on the ride home. I think I had it all sweated (is that a word) off by time we got home and I'm really red tonight. So red I took a Benadryl to help lessen the pain. This really works. Here's the story I have a friend that went to Hawaii to get married and while she was there she got really burnt. . blister burnt. And, yes she had been using sunscreen but she was snorkeling and didn't realize you had to reapply often. Her new husband went out in search of a pharmacy and the pharmacist told him to buy Benadryl that it will help with the discomfort. Wow! It works! Enjoy!

Hi Stampers!

I've been a little pre-occupied lately! I bought a new bicycle back in May and for my Birthday on June 19 Jim gave me a bike computer. It's this cool little gadget that has a trip meter, odometer, clock and a few other options to tell me about my ride. Well, since June 19 I have logged in 46 miles! I'm really surprised at the re-shaping, or "toning" as they call it and all that pedaling has really helped with my weight loss. . . 16 pounds! So, be assured that when I'm not stamping I'm doing something very beneficial for my health!

Today's card is featuring new products from the 2011-2012 Idea Book and catalogue. These were sneak peaks we were allowed to order. The catalogue goes live tomorrow at 12:00 Noon Mountain time! So, if you want to take a look at a catalogue feel free to jump over to my Stampin' Up Website and take a gander!

Check out those colors! Yes, two new In-Colors; Island Indigo & Calypso Coral! These are two of the five new In-Colors and they are so pretty and have matching Stampin' Write Markers as well. The stamp set is Pennant Parade and there is even a matching Pennant Punch! Love that! I used Crystal Effects on the little blue "embellishments" I made and stuck on the Pennants. Quick and easy card and totally CASE-able! I also used the Small, Large and Wide Oval Punches for the Wish Big Sentiment.

I will be placing my order tomorrow and and as soon as my order comes and it rains. . . gotta ride you know. . . I'll be sure to post some new creations. I do have an upcoming post of a retired set from a few years ago that I made for a birthday so be looking for that!

Today it was stinkin' cold! I mean like 60 degrees cold. I didn't get any biking in all weekend. I have tried riding when it's cold and the inside of my ears end up hurting so bad I'm afraid I'll get an ear infection so I didn't go. I'm wondering how stupid it would look to ride with fake-rabbit fur ear muffs on in June? I'm thinking it would look really stupid. . . so I'll pass riding. After all biking is about fashion!

LETS TALK STAMPING! You know one stamp set I'm going to miss is Pun Fun. The images are so cute and simple and lots of fun to color! This image I colored using colored pencils and Gamisol. Here you thought I forgot to post anything I colored last weekend! I love that technique. . . I know it's not a Stampin' Up! technique but then it's fun to mix and match some times. The rest of the card is total Stampin' Up! I used the Sunny Garden Designer Series Paper (also to be retired), More Mustard Cardstock and Pear Pizazz Seam Binding Ribbon to tie it up all pretty! I also used the Eyelet Border Punch. Now, there's a punch I haven't used for like every! I'm not sure why I don't use it more it really add a feminine touch to the card. Love it!

Easter Orchid!

I know, it's not Easter but it wasn't in bloom at Easter! Isn't this just the prettiest Orchid? Well, I'm partial to it. Tyler gave it to me a year ago Easter. He talked Grandma into taking him to Wal Mart, something they both enjoyed doing, so he could by it for me for Easter. Isn't that just the sweetest. He was 13 and used his own money. Any way, it was in full bloom when he gave it to me and the blooms lasted into August. I faithfully gave it it's three ice cubes a week (per the instructions). Well the blooms died off and it looked pretty sad through the winter. I continued giving it three ice-cubes a week. Early part of February a new stem started to form and by the end of March all these little buds appeared. I had left the original stems and one of the old stems even sprouted a new stem towards the top and budded but then it died and both stems turned yellow. I cut off the yellow stems and then the new stem really took off and the buds became bigger. I think I had one or two actual flowers at Easter but they died off really quick but then these other buds got even bigger and now I have full fledged flowers and one more big bud to bloom. I'm still giving it. . . three ice cubes a week. I was in a picture taking mood so I thought I'd picture up and share with you all!

Brights Bracelet!

How pretty is this? I love it! I made it with the Brights button collection and it looks awesome against my tan arm! Oops! This picture was taken a while back so you can't see the tan! Yes, I have a tan going on and it's only been nice for what a week? Yahoo to finally seeing the sun and having incredible temperatures to boot! This bracelet is the most fun thing to make with some stretchy beading thread (5mm) and 3 different sized buttons in coordinating colors 10 each you can make this fun summery bracelet.

I have been a little busy. I got a new bike and have been seriously riding about. I have been paper crafting working with colored pencils and gamisol. I colored some images over the weekend but I haven't gotten an actual card made. When I do get the card make you'll be the first to see it!

This weekend we are having a humongous yard sale. I really don't like having yard sales but it's time. Our basement and garage are over run with items from my mom-in-laws home and it's time to clear them out. I also have some things, like an old bike, to get rid of amongst a bunch of other stuff. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law are also bringing stuff so it's going to be a huge sale. Time to weed out!

Fun in the SUN!

If you live in Northern PA you will totally "get" why I have saved this post until now! We had our first awesome weekend! Yes, just a little bit of rain and a whole lot a sun!

I love this stamp set "Sunny Fun". I love all the possibilities and layouts I can make with it. Don't those kids look like they are having a grand time floating about in their inner tubes? I chose Marina Mist (very fitting) for the main blue background and then added a piece of Daffodil Delights Designer paper with the stripes (not sure if you can see that in the pic). For texture I ran a piece of Pear Pizazz through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder and then punched out with a 1" Circle Punch. I stamped the saying "fun in the sun!" in Marina Mist and then punched out ovals to layer. I even added "wetness" to the inner tubes and waves with Crystal Effects! The card was great fun to make! I made another card to post in the near future using the Popsicle stamp that comes in this set.

I have been terribly busy with work and have been working a few nights and weekend days. This week we are swamped with school activities so I might be still be a little "away" for a while. But I was missing the blog so I stopped by for a quit post.

Oh, for those of you awaiting more Mama Robin pictures. . . there will be no more (insert sad face here). We pulled into work last week and my husband said he hasn't seen her at the nest for a few days. I'm not sure what happened. We won't go near the nest to see what's up. The nest was on top of the electric box and Penelec came through and locked the box and I'm afraid that the meter reader guy/gal spooked her or something. They read our meter and at the shop we have 3-Phase electric service to the huge compressor. We don't run the big compressor during the winter months so they must get tired of not having to record or whatever they do for that portion of the service and they leave it unlocked. Once we are in production they lock the box, I'm not sure why,unless we can reset it or something. It is about the same time they would have been through that she turned up missing.

I was so excited. . . I came home from work last night (Friday the 13th) and there was this little package from my upline, Linda Bauwin. I felt it all around trying to guess what was inside and finally gave up and tore into it. There was a half a box of buttons, beading elastic and two crimping beads. Inside the envelope was a thank you for being my downline note (awe how cute) and a website for her upline with a link to how to make this bracelet. The buttons are from the neutral collection and it takes 10 small (flower), 10 medium and 10 large to make a bracelet. You can get two bracelets from one package of buttons that cost only $8.95! Sunny Fun!

I was thumbing through the Summer Mini as soon as I got it and seen this set "Sunny Fun" page 16. I knew right away I had to have it. My real job has had me really busy and I haven't had much "me" time so the only way I got this stamped & finished was to do a little before work and finish at night. I stamped the rest of the images of this set on strips and will cart those back & forth to the shop to color at lunch. This card features the flip-flops. Remember when flip-flops were called "thongs"? Okay, maybe I'm showing my age, but today's "thong's" have nothing to do with plastic, but they do separate. . . okay, we're leaving that alone! I love the colors of this card. Regal Rose & Tempting Turquoise. I used Designer Series Paper Pack for the dotted background and punched circles from Regal Rose and Pretty in Pink for some texture. I stamped in Staz On and colored with Stampin' Write Markers. I enjoyed coloring the flip-flops. . . okay, it's been quite a while since I colored anything and I was having major withdrawals. Look at the "thank you" sentiment. I stamped in Tempting Turquoise on Whisper White and punched with the large oval, I then punched Regal Rose using the Scallop Oval and topped that off with the Tempting Turquoise XL Oval. Isn't that cute? LOVE IT! This set is a fun set and I hope to be posting more of it.

Okay, so I'm a day late, but Happy Mother's Day!

This post is totally non-card related but a cute Mom post. Take a look at this little gal, isn't she cute? This photo was taken up at the shop. Jim (my wonderful husband) told me that a bird was building a nest on the electric service on the shop. I really hadn't paid much attention to it. First it looked like a mess of dead grass. The next day the pile was a little bigger. By the third day it was a full fledged nest. Well, a day or two went by and he announced there were two eggs in the nest. Now, he had my full attention and of course I said I wish I had my camera. So, after three days of forgetting it. . . . AND NOW we have a family of baby fox squirrels living in a tree at the shop. How exciting! Now I REALLY need my camera. Well, he had to run home Thursday of last week and he snagged up my camera. The baby fox squirrels weren't cooperating for pictures but this Mama Robin was! Jim said he can walk right by her and he's face level with her. I took this quite a distance as I'm afraid she'll like come after me or something (you know get pecked). Plus, I don't want to interrupt Mother Nature. Any way, here she is busy being a soon-to-be-mom. I'll keep you posted as my camera goes with me to the shop every day now. I'm still after the baby fox squirrels. There are four or five of them and they are cute!

Hello!

My latest big stamping project is. . . . Cleaning out the Stamping Closet! Ugh! I have put this off long enough! My upline invited me to her annual stamping "yard sale" and I'm so excited. I went last year and really lightened my load of retired goodies. This year I have decided to unload (or hopefully) unload more retired goodies by being better prepared so I'm starting with the Stamping Closet. Mulberry paper. Exactly when was the last time I used it? I found scads of the stuff. Some Stampin' Up and (gasp!) some that is not. I'm unloading it! I've also found some really lame old stuff that isn't worthy for an actual stamping yard sale so I'm putting it in my personal yard sale stuff. It's fun to go through and see stuff I've been. . . missing. . . You know the stuff that you swore you had but couldn't find it? Well, it's in my closet! I have found stuff I forgot I even had. Well, the Mulberry paper I remember having and now I wished I hadn't. Oh well. . . live and learn!

Today's card features Designer Series Paper. While cleaning, I had to move this big craft storage pack 12 x 12 thing that holds all my current Designer Series Paper. I decided I better start using it because before I know it - it to will be retired! So, May's on-line thank you cards will get this! Isn't it pretty? I love the concept. My nifty Upline Linda showed me how to make this and it's been quite a hit at workshops and 10-10's. The Designer Paper is Sunny Garden from the current Idea Book and Catalog. Isn't it pretty? It coincides with the stamp set Cottage Garden. I really like the stamp set but I haven't used it all that much. Look at the punched out image on the left. That's from the new Doily Triple Layer Punch. I LOVE THAT PUNCH! Now I have to get the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch. I thought I'd try one and well. . . the rest is history! I love the colors of this card. It shouts spring. Right now we need a SHOUT of spring because here it is May and it's rained more than the sun has shined and it's getting really depressing. . . So, if you really love my May on-line thank you and you want one. . . all you have to do is place an on-line order during the month of May and it will show up in your mailbox!

Flower Power!

Hello again! Wow! Now, don't get used to this being two days in a row and all it's just a fluke! I can assure you that when I'm not posting I'm busy at work in the craft room.

I had this fabric purchased for (clear voice) two years! Yes, I know. . . I know! I had the place mats cut out since last (guilty cough). . . last summer! I know. . . I know! Well, I had my Mom and Dad coming for Easter Dinner so I thought. . . at the very last moment. . . that I'd sew those place mats up right away quick! NO sewing with me is never quick. But, I'm happy to say I actually started sewing them Friday night and finished three hours before "show-time" Easter morning. I had some pinned together but I had the pellon stuff in the wrong layer order so I had to stop and fix that. . . Sewing is just to much thinking for me. Card making comes much easier! I'm not sure if you can see in the table picture with my pretty place mats but I stitched each row vertically and horizontally. That was an after thought I had as I was sewing them up around the four edges. Yes, I know, I out did myself with all that!

Whilst I was sewing I thought wouldn't those flowers make a pretty card. Well, I'm not sure if I like the card. I used the Clear Flower Die in Melon Mambo and layered that on Pacific Point. I then used the new Doily Punch to punch out the Doily Center in Daffodil Delight. I then in Pacific Point, stamped Friend and used the XL Decorative Label to punch out the white and again in the yellow and did that layer thing. I would have put a brad or something in the Doily but I wanted you to see the detail in the outermost layer of that punch piece. Isn't it pretty? Mom and I, after Easter Dinner, played around with the punch and we layered white behind the outermost Doily Punch and it really makes it stand out! Really pretty & lots of fun to make!

Happy Easter!

Today's post is just for fun. I have been putting in longer hours at work this week so I'm off a bit on posting cards and the like. I do have a fun post to post this week that is totally craft related but for today I'll share a little of my family. . . Tyler found his Easter basket and he will absolutely go nuts when he sees I've posted about him! Isn't he getting tall? He's taller than I am! Guess where I hid it? I hid it in my craft room! It took him only about 10 minutes to find it! He is such a good sport! I followed him all around the house with the camera! Well, I couldn't just bring it out when he was in the right room that would be a CLUE! This year. . now that he's much older and wiser. . . I gave him the "instructions" and if he asked for ANY clues it will cost him a buck a clue! LOL!!! He asked for none. . . bummer for me. . .

The second is my sister-in-law, Miriam, Tyler and I went to the CFA (Cat Fancier Association) sanctioned cat show in Erie on Saturday. It was a blast. I bought this kitty toy for Isabella. I decorated it with the ribbons as she wasn't really excited. In case any of you are wondering. Isabella is a Traditional or Applehead Siamese. The CFA doesn't recognize that breed. The "Siamese" they recognize are the ones that have really long faces, are very thin in appearance, and have very large ears. They are pretty cats but I just don't feel they look all that healthy. . . therefore, I'm in love with the Traditional or Applehead psychic. Isn't she beautiful? And look I figured out how to do the red-eye removal thing! Yahoo!

Today's card is a sympathy card that I made with the Spring Blossom promotion along with a few other goodies. I'm not sure why I chose to make a sympathy card and I hope this isn't some omen. . . Any way, I chose Rich Razzleberry as my main card base and layered with Baja Breeze and then used the Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper. Isn't that just the prettiest paper you have ever seen? Of course I just had to use the Big Shot so I embellished with the Beautiful Wings Embosslit. The jury had been out quite a while on that there Seam Binding Ribbon and I finally decided that . . . . I like it! I haven't moved to "love" yet but I'm working on it! I used the XL Decorative label and and punched it not two, but three times! Remember to layer with those you simply punch, cut in the center through the points, then trim the points off and layer on each end. I have never used three before and I really love the look! I used the Four Frames stamp set and Stampin' Write Markers to color the stamp in and then punched it out so it would line up perfectly. The Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set from the current catalogue works perfectly with the Four Frames stamp set.

Craft Show. . .

Well the craft show came and went and it was. . . a flop. I'm sort of disappointed in it and it wasn't that people just walked on by. . well some did but that is normal . . . there just wasn't hardly any people at all. I'm not sure if it wasn't well advertised, the economy or folks just didn't feel like coming to a craft show. I sold more to vendors than I did actual shoppers. Any way I'm glad it is over. This picture is of me and my booth and the other is a close up of some of my goodies. I did have lots of fun making the items I had so it wasn't a total loss and I will have lots of hostess gifts for the next three years (smile).

Weis Library United Methodist Church Craft Show!

Countryside. . .

Don't you just love an easy go-to card? Well, this one is just that! The stamp set is Countryside and was one of those stamp sets that as soon as I seen it I knew I had to had it. Although, I haven't used it as much as I thought, I'm really glad I purchased it. I love the masculine feel this card has. Of course it's a truck, and an old truck at that, so how much more masculine can you get than that? Pair it up with Not Quite Navy and Sahara Sand and you have yourself a grand of a masculine card. First off I stamped the truck in Sahara Sand on Whisper White and layered with Sahara Sand. I then used the Sanded background stamp inked with Sahara Sand and stamped that onto the main card base. The Not Quite Navy strip I ran through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Impression Folder - luv that folder! I love the texture I got with this card from using the Sanded background stamp and the Square Lattice folder. Sometimes it's not what you stamp it's what you accessorize with it that makes it stand out. Of course Stampin' Dimensions make it really pop off the card!

I know this post should have been made a month ago but I just got it stuck on my door and the picture taken. Then we got busy on the house (rental) and well, there just wasn't any time for me. So, I'm taking time now to get a little caught up on the blog. I wanted to post this Decor Elements Notes chalk board piece, so in case in the future, Stampin' Up! offers something cool like this in the catty you will have an idea what it looks like. This was a free offering during Sale-a-bration. Yep, that big! The wording Notes and white squiggle under is actually another piece (included) that you could have left off. I chose to add it as I liked it :). I installed this before a party a week ago Thursday and it took me all about five minutes to complete! I was super impressed with the ease in applying it to the cabinet.

Well, this is all the time I have for right now. I need to get to the real job. I have some upcoming posts of cards from the 10-10 I had last Saturday so check back for some cute cards!

Product Review!

Isn't this just the bestest card? It's so matchy-matchy! I'm so loving it! Okay, so I'm surfing through my Stampin' Up Idea Book for the gazillion time and I notice these Designer Series Paper 12 x 12 tablets. I stopped and was like, huh, what's this? The description from the Idea Book page 166 for brights is Patterns Designer Series paper Stack (40 sheets: 2 each of 2 double-sided designs 12" x 12" in 10 colors) for $19.95. Hmm. . . . I ordered the In-colors which actually gives you 4 each of 2 double-sided 12 x 12 in 5 colors and is what the above card is featuring. So, I get the paper stack and it's like WOW. . . look at those matching colors. I can't believe half the SU year has passed and I haven't been on this - ink on rubber. That would be like going a week without chocolate! Seriously, I'm in love!

Check out this card. I love that stamp set Everything Nice. They are best friends, you know! I NEVER show a workshop a 10-10 card before an event but this card I just have to show-off; it's for Travis's workshop this Thursday. I choose Poppy Parade as the main color and layered with Very Vanilla. I took the polka-dot print and stripped print from the Paper Stack and cut the Polka-Dot 3.0" and the stripped 2.0" and joined the two in the center. To hide the seam I used the Poppy Parade Poly 1/2 stitched ribbon. I inked the stamp with Staz on and used Poppy Parade and Peach Parfait along with some basic colors in the Stampin' Write Marker to color the image. I used the modern label punch and stamped "I'm here for you. . . " and sponged in Poppy Parade. I just love it! So cute!

I have been terribly busy. This Saturday the big 10-10 day with a morning and an afternoon full of stamping and fun. I will post the 10-10 cards and chat about them after Saturday so don't be disappointed if you don't see anything new here (what else is new, right) for a few days. Really, I'd love to quit my day job and just stamp and post. I enjoy doing both! But, I need to help the "main" cause and the stamping business is just feeding my addiction of rubber!

Have you ever had a week that you were just glad it was over? Well, this week was the week for me. Although, I did manage to create this darling little card featuring Forest Friends & So Happy for You stamp sets. Both sets are Sale-a-bration sets and you still have time to earn them for FREE!

Lately I have been really stuck on Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip! I'm not sure why as I'm usually a pink stamper. I got to thinking of this little guy (the deer from Forest Friends) and decided I was going to make a card using it. I also have been thinking of keeping it simple. So many times my cards are elaborate. You know ribbon and coloring and lots and lots of layers. I did a card and showed to my friend and she said it was simple a "go to card" as she called it. I then got to thinking she's right! Sometimes quick and simple gets the job done to! I stamped the deer in Chocolate Chip on Whisper White and layered with Chocolate Chip. I used the Ticket Punch to punch the corners. I then used the Scallop Trim Border Punch to create the detail piece running the length of the card. THEN! I was so excited about this part. . . I just love that little oval but not much can fit on it, but "thanks" from So happy for you stamp set fits just perfect and I layered with Baja Breeze and then topped it off with the Scallop Oval Punch. BAMB! It was done lickity-go-split!

On Rosa's Fun-o-stampa-meter I give it an 8!

This is another adventurous weekend. Isabella goes to the vet tomorrow and with her allergic reactions to shots I feel the very big need to "kitty sit" her all day. Not to worry I'm going to try my hand at making Pirogi's! I'm also going to try to sew a few flowers, work on a couple 10-10 cards for March 26th AND if there is anytime left I need to work on the craft show goodies. Phew! I'll report back and let you know how all that goes! LOL!!

Hello!

I'm calling today's post Projects and Updates as I have lots to share with you today. . . .

Looksie what I'm up to! I'm making a quilted-throw using the Big Shot and Clear Bigz Flower Die from Stampin' Up! I got the idea from Angie Juda Kennedy. . . my Stampin' Up! Idol. She is from Kansas and has the cutest Southern Accent. She is a full-time demonstrator and her site just rocks! Any way, I have been dabbling quite a bit with sewing in the last year and when I seen what Angie had done with the flower die I thought. . . "heck, I can do that to!" AND guess what? I get to share it with all of you! The top picture is the fabrics I chose for my flowers. Let me set the record straight right now. . . I stink at picking out colors. If it wasn't for the Idea Book & Catalogue and the Color Coach I would be totally lost on what colors "go together". Well it's even worse for material. . . just ask my Mom, I think she cringes every time I ask for help. Well, I did this shopping trip all - by - myself and it took me f-o-r-e-v-e-r! I started with the pink background daisy as I absolutely loved that print and then I decided to draw some yellow out and then some green. Well, I needed a total 6 prints and I wanted somewhat of a theme and this is what I ended up with! I did awesome!

The picture on the left or on top (in one of my views it's on the left and the other it's on top so whatever) is my piles of pinned blocks (white measure 8 x 8) with flowers in groups by color along with the top stitching thread I will be using. I will go around each flower using the Blanket Stitch which not only is decorative but will hold the flower onto the quilt block. The picture of the right is. . . (insert drum roll here) "da bomb" . . .a.k.a Big Shot, The floral Clear Die and a cut flower! How cute is that? Seriously, the whole thing is cute!

This is going to be a project for me as right now I have lots going on. I'm doing a craft show April 9th that I'm preparing for. It's Sale-a-bration and I have workshops planned and a big 10-10 and then if that isn't enough. . . we found renter for mom's house and we have to have the downstairs and upstairs painted, new shades installed, the finishing touches on the beautiful bathroom and everything cleaned out by April 15th! Yikes! As soon as I'm done blogging tonight I'm going to help carry boxes from her house to our garage so the guys can actually move in there. So, I don't have all evening to sew and OH WAIT! I have to stamp a card from time to time to blog about to! I have a real cute one to show you next!

Sympathy. . .

It seems this has been the year for needing sympathy cards. After dealing with a death of my Mother-In-Law I have been reminded of the necessity behind a simple sympathy card. Everyone expresses their sympathy in their own little way but I think a card sent to the house a few days after the funeral when the reality has set in is a gentle reminder that we are cared for, thought of and most importantly not alone.

The uniqueness of this particular card is that there is hardly any stamping other than the Sympathy greeting, which I apologize is retired (Loving Memories), and the verse on the inside of the card. I used the Greenhouse Garden Designer Series paper to create the card. I cut a piece 5.25 x 4.0 to layer onto my Baja Breeze folded card. I then cut a piece of Baja and a piece of Whisper White to layer (sorry, I can't remember the dimensions but I think it was 2.5 x 2.5 and 2.25 x 2.25 for the white). I then took the large floral piece of Designer Series Paper and very carefully cut the flower out and adhered to the Whisper White with a dimensional. I stamped With Sympathy and punched out with the Decorative Label Punch and sponged the edges. I then punched another Decorative Label and cut it vertically down the center and adhered to the back of the white one and attached all that with a dimensional. I even put a daisy on the envelope. This card was super quick but yet very powerful.

My next post is really exciting. . . well, to me it is. . . a new project I'm working on that I will from time to time blog about through the entire process. So, stay tuned!

Also, don't you just love the Card Project to the right for the month of March? It is straight out of the catalogue. You know, the other day I was thinking about cards for my upcoming 10-10 and seen that card and for some reason it was like I never seen it in the catty before! How could I miss it? It is such a Rosa card! Now it is a Project card! How cool is that?

Wilma's Posti-Note Holder. . . .

This is Wilma's Posti-Note Holder (a.k.a. Mom!). She chose, Sweet Stitches Designer Series Paper, of course! Mom is a quilter and loves all things sewing and the whole Sew Suite section of the Occasions Mini is in honor of her and all the other sewing enthusiasts of the world! She decorated her holder with buttons in mind. The "button" piece is actually part of another sheet of Designer Paper in the same pack. She simply cut it out and layered. She used the Dotted Scallop Trim Border Punch for the detail piece under the button layer. The three buttons and grosgrain ribbon at the top are part of the Sale-a-bration "free" offering and they match perfectly! Very pretty!

The morning was fun and full of laughter and seeing what everyone has done with their own creativity was really fun. I'm certainly going to have this workshop again.

This is Maureen's Posti-Note Holder. She chose the Botanical Gazette Designer Series Paper. This paper has got to be seen in "real time" to truly appreciate the beauty of that paper! Maureen's turned out to be what I call "collagy" a.k.a "collage" I loved how she used the Garden Green XL Label punches and Hemp Twine to accent and of course we can't leave out the retired Corduroy buttons. Very Pretty!

Posti-Note Holder Class

Two Saturdays ago I had a small Posti-Note Holder Class. The holders turned out absolutely gorgeous! Each lady chose the Designer Series Paper of their choice and I supplied the rest. Each holder is certainly their personality.

This is Terry's and she chose the Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Mini Catalog. This is really the prettiest paper and in "real time" it is simply gorgeous! She used a few retired products that I'm sure you just might have lying around; Ivory Organdy ribbon & Baja Breeze Corduroy Button. From the current catalog she used a large Paper Daisy from the Paper Daisies (page 188) and she sponged it with Baja Breeze. She then stamped using the Flower Fancy stamp set a piece of Ivory and used the new XL label punch to punch and layered with Baja Breeze. Then, if that wasn't a WOW factor enough she added the half pearls (page 188 Idea Book) to the centers of the flowers. She even used little pieces of Organdy Ribbon to tie on the o-wire. Very pretty!

Totally Tool Birthday Wishes!

Today's card features the Totally Tool stamp set. As a demonstrator one of the perks is having card samples at our disposal. Sometimes I have an idea on a set I want to use but it just isn't working so I'll go to the Stampin' Connection and browse. I seen this card and, of course, make a few changes and re-created it for my cousin-in-law's birthday. He's a Mr. fix it kind of guy so I thought it was totally acceptable! What I like about the card the most is the tools are cut and attached to the cork (yep cork) background with brads. I used Early Espresso as the main card body, layered with Crumb Cake. Did you know Stampin' Up sells cork sheets? They are on page 205 of the Idea Book and Catalogue. I used the Curly Cute stamp set for the Happy Birthday. Special note: The brads are some I purchased a long-time ago. I thought they were fitting so I incorporated them into the card. On a side note regarding the card. When I use dark colored card stock I will cut a piece of either vanilla or white to layer inside to stamp and write my message on. I really hope Mark enjoys his card as much as I enjoyed making it! Happy Birthday Mark!

Tyler making Valentine's Cookies!

Okay, I know I'm a week behind but I just had to post about this! The guys in my house LUV cut-out cookies. I think mostly because I decorate them with cake-frosting. Before you ask, I don't eat many! I usually have two at some point during the cookies stay, after all they are a lot of work. Totally justifiable! When I took this picture he said "You are NOT putting that on Facebook!". I said "of course not, I wouldn't do that!". Nothing was said about my blog! And after all isn't cooking baking sort of like crafting, only in the kitchen? Any way, the look on his face in this picture is the look I get quite often and it translates into "Are you cereal?" yes, he says cereal instead of serious (Tyler humour). I always reply with "no, I'm Oatmeal!". Awe, the teenage years!

Red Glimmer Paper!

Oh my WORD! Have you tried using the Stampin' Up! Glimmer paper? WOW! It's really and I mean really the bomb! Look at this cute box I made for Tyler for Valentine's Day. I used my heart punch to punch out the heart and the best part was no glitter fell off! I don't know what they used to stick it on but it is dense shiny red glitter and it doesn't come off. I have to admit when I first seen it and seen the price for 2 12 x 12 sheets. After much inner debate I decided to get it and I'm thrilled I did and I hope that Stampin' Up! comes out with more wonderful colors of Glimmer Paper. This box is real easy to make and I will add it to my "to do" list to make a little tutorial on how to make it. I have never made a tutorial so this will be quite a project for me! Really it's quite easy!

Good Morning!

I have another stamping related post for today, but I just couldn't resist taking a couple pictures of Isabella, my craft room mascot. For those of you who have not ahd the pleasure in meeting Ms. Isabella she is a Blue Point Siamese and will be 2 years old this May. She follows us around the house and depending on who is doing the most interesting she will follow that person. Usually she watches Tyler from his bed but in the evenings when I'm in my craft room she follows me down there and raises havoc! On this "rare" occasion she actually took a nap! Now, warning the one picture that shows a larger portion of the "sewing" area is quite a disaster! Yep, I'm a pig in my room! I leave stuff right were I used them. I also get upset with myself when I can't find something and then spend an evening tidying the place back up. My husband has learned not to comment on my "space". The rest of the house I keep as spotless as I can and the craft room. . . well. . . the rest is a messy history!

Feel The Love!

Today's post is the Valentine card that I had for workshop hostesses and attendees to make for February before Valentine's Day! I really "Love" this card! It is so fast and fun to make and uses my favorite toy. . . I mean tool, the Big Shot! The main card structure is Melon Mambo my favorite "Pink" in the Stampin' Up! color line up. I layered it with Pink Pirouette. I used the little heart from the Happy For You Sale-A-Bration stamp set and randomly stamped the heart in both Melon Mambo and Pink Pirouette inks on Whisper White card stock. I then inked the Love you much stamp from the Love you much stamp set in Melon Mambo Ink and stamped on the white and then colored in the the word Love with Pink Pirouette. I also used Garden Green on the stem and leaf before I stamped it. Wait, how did you do that? After I inked my stamp with Melon Mambo I took the Garden Green Stampin Write Marker and brushed the flower stem and leaf with the marker. Then I stamped and that's how it turned out so perfect! I layered again with the Pink Pirouette and Melon Mambo and centered that to the left. I'm such a ribbon person and I'm trying to get out of the habit of putting ribbon on every darn card I make so I was at a loss as to what to do on the right side of the card and then . . . . (insert drum roll here). . . . Embossed hearts! It's perfect! I used Stampin' Dimensionals (little cushiony things that make your art work "pop" off the card on both hearts and even the stamped layered image! My card got great reviews so I was smitten with myself for coming up with a true Rosa Original!

Look at THIS! It is an altered Altoids tin for my pins! I used the Sweet Stitches Designer Series Paper to adorn my new pin tin. I labeled my tin with an old Sizzix Sizzlet alphabet that I had. The "i" in Pin is one of our little flower buttons that comes in the Designer Buttons Brights selection. Isn't it just the cutest? I have been having sew much fun with the Sew Suite Collection! Check out this really cool binder cover I made using the Designer Series Paper and embellishments! Remember how I did the little girl using My Digital Studio? Well, this is the same thing. I printed her off and colored her in with Stampin' Ups! Stampin' Write Markers. I used Buttons #5 Sizzlit die to make the cute buttons and also the Bigz XL Trim die to make the cute accent along the left that I layered over Vanilla Grosgrain Ribbon. I must admit that my name is made from Sizzlits which I picked up from a huge sale at Sizzix.com long before Stampin' Up carried the Big Shot. So, I'm sorry that font is not available. I take this binder to all my workshops with my workshop information (announcements and what not) that I might need. The binder cover was fun to make. I started out with no real picture in the end so it sort of evolved as I was creating! Love that!

Hello & Happy day to you!

Today's post is a tea bag holder that I made for a swap that did not happen! I sent them priority US mail and they didn't show up "on-time" for the swap so they were returned to me. . . all 17! So, if you are a Stampin' Up Demonstrator and would like to swap with me, please email me with my address and I'll email you back with mine. I'm looking for Sale-a-bration swaps! I also have 24 Occasion Mini swaps to swap to, just in case you are interested in those that would be the the St. Patrick card I posted a couple posts back!

I cut my Tangerine Tango 8 x 3 and scored at 3 then 6 and folded the short flap "in" the longer flap to close over the folded piece. I used gold brads to hold the flap shut to create a pocket for the tea bag.

This project was so much fun to create and I was sure hoping to win a prize at the swap, sniff, but they never got entered. . . sniff. . . snort. It was partly my fault for not getting them in the mail sooner. They were to arrive on Thursday, which was the deadline for the swap, but they arrived on Friday instead. I'm not happy with the US mail (not you Terry (smile).

I had a Sale-a-bration workshop on the 27th and it was awesome. I had created some fun things to share with the sewing goodies from the Occasion Mini and the group loved them! Rub-Ons!

Howdy Friends!

Being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator has many perks. One of which is now and then getting something "free"! This jar is featuring the Love Impressions Rub-Ons which Stampin' Up! graciously sent all of us demonstrators a month or so ago. I don't buy Rub-Ons as I would rather stamp and color than just rub-it-on. So, when I do have an opportunity to share I'm all over it! The jar is an old candle jar, from a very popular candle company, that I removed the label and labored over trying to get the waxy residue out and then ran it through the dishwasher. We only received the first page of Rub-Ons so I decided to work it through using only those. I cut apart the Rub-Ons and started rubbing them onto my jar. I sort of filled the glass space as I went. I had no real plan. To "tie" it up I used some Real Red Polka Dot Grosgrain ribbon that was in the Clearance Rack a few months back. I thought the colors really "tied" it up nicely. What a quick fun project and would make a nice gift!

I haven't forgot about the Tea Bag Holder and I have two new posti-note holders to share, so stay tuned!

Happy St. Patricks Day! ???

Okay, I know I'm really early and I totally skipped Valentine's Day but I had this card done for my Occasions Mini Flier swap so I thought I'd post it now. I promise to start posting Valentine's after my next post!

This card is using the Lucky Shamrock stamp from the Occasions Mini. It is the focal point of my card. The tiny three-leaf clover is from the Sale-A-Bration set So Happy For You. . . I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post that yet but most have you have received the Sale-A-Bration flier so I'm not sweating it! I randomly stamped using Garden Green and Certainly Celery classic ink the little clovers all over the white piece. The center band is Certainly Celery that I ran through the Polka Dot Embossing Folder with the Big Shot! I love my Big Shot. If you don't' have one Sale-A-Bration is the time to purchase one as you get free stamps for doing so . . . 2 sets! I used the 2-3/8" Scallop Circle. . Yes, Yes. . . I know it's on back order and as soon as it's available I will share the wonderful news! I paper pierced the scallop and then popped it off with a dimensional! I had to make 24 of these for my uplines swap. It's not my style. . . I usually choose stamps that I have to color in with markers or crayons. But, I have a few friends (Hi Terry, Maureen and Travis!) that like to send St. Patty's cards and I never have a stamp so now I do!

I'm trying this again as I had Internet issues last night (and every night). . .

Wow! I didn't realize how long since I last posted until I decided to show this fabulous card I made. I knew it had been a while but until I seen the actual date and it being in 2010 had I realized just how long it had been.

Have you seen the new Occasion Mini flier? Oh My heavens! I'm so excited about the Oh Sew Suite sewing goodies. Have you seen the new Sale-A-Bration brochure that starts on January 25th? Wow! Some really cool goodies to be had there I'll tell ya! STORY ALERT! Some of you might have figured out that I'm a part-time or "hobbyist" demonstrator. Call it what you want but I finally figured out that I'm not making or going to make any money at this if I buy all these wonderful goodies that Stampin' Up tempts us with every quarter so I have to make some changes. NO I'm not quitting I'm just spending more wisely! One of the perks of being a Stampin' Up Demonstrator is we get to purchase new goodies a whole month before the flier "goes live". Usually, like during Sale-A-Bration we don't get goodies or discounts on this pre-order merchandise. So, this year I decided to wait and order my "have to have" items on January 25th so I can also take advantage of the Sale-A-Bration goodies for free to. It's been tough. Especially tough when it comes to Mail-In swaps with my uplines group. So, I did order the bare minimum so I can participate in the swaps. I bought the St. Patrick's stamp in the Occasion Flier, the Designer Series Paper, Sweet Stitches and the So Happy for you stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration brochure and one digital download - Oh Sew (see card). The only problem it has presented is I don't have any new goodies to really show off until the second week of February so any workshops I have coming up I tried to persuade (if they want to see new goodies) to schedule in February.

The CARD! Don't you just love the card? This card is/was my Sister's Birthday Card. Happy Birthday Jeannie! Her birthday was January 1st but we just celebrated because Mom was really sick the whole week after Christmas. It was fun celebrating later and Mom and Dad's tree is still up. No FAIR! My birthday is in June and I don't get a tree? What's up with all that? LOL!! Jeannie loves to sew and machine embroidery. Sew :) I wanted to make a sewing card. I always try to match up the recipients hobbies into their cards. Well, I had the Designer Series Paper but not the stamp set and then I remembered I had the Oh Sew Digital Download for My Digital Studio. I have to admit I hardly use My Digital Studio so I had to actually download it and all that. It was super easy to do! Any way, I opened the brush set Oh Sew and quickly found the girl and sized her the size I wanted along with the machine and printed a whole sheet out in Very Vanilla. I actually got like three girls and five machines to fit on a sheet of Card Stock. I cut her out to the size I wanted and then coloured with my Stampin' Write Markers. WARNING: If you use an ink-jet printer the ink will bleed using the Stampin' Write Markers sew :) you have to be very careful! I used a scrap under my card and when I felt (or knew) I got into the printer ink I simply swiped it off on the scrap to clean my marker brush. It worked wonderfully! You know we offer many stamp sets for My Digital Studio and this is just another feature of making it totally affordable! The Oh Sew is only $3.95 for the download! Oh cool is that? AND, the only way Stampin' Up offers the little girl is in the Sweet Stitches Rub-On's.

I will try to get on some sort of posting schedule soon. I have Verizon HS Internet and it seems to be real iffy between the hours of 8 and 11 at night (I think it is a high user time and Verizon isn't big enough to handle it); which is the time I usually think of posting. I had the whole thing typed last night it was gone when I tried to Save I got that nasty page saying "the page you are trying to access. . . . . ". Ugh!

Surprise!

Wow! Where is the time going (in a very excited voice)??? It's been a while since I last posted. One of the reasons is Verizon. I don't like to be negative but I have had some serious connectivity issues with Verizon High-speed Internet at night. I have made several calls to Verizon and they even sent me a router/modem and still between the hours of 7 and 11 PM I have trouble connecting and staying connecting to the Internet. So, here it is 6:44 AM and I should be getting ready for the day but I just had to show you my latest creation!

Simply Adorned! When this jewelry stuff came out, I have to admit, I was less than excited. Well, it's been out for what a year and a half now? I'm still not overly excited with the product but it is fun to create and if it's fun to create well then I'm excited with it. . . well sort of. I'm not a clunky type jewelry wearer and I guess that is how I feel about this. There is a different between clunky and gaudy and this isn't gaudy just bigger than a pendant I would normally wear. I had been blog surfing and seen some cute things made with it (not that this post is cute) and thought hmm, it is on sale so I ordered it. The box the charm, bauble and chain came in are very nice sturdy boxes and they can be decorated as well (but I haven't done that yet so stay tuned). The bundle came with the Charm stamp set so I used the set to create today's post. I also made one with a snowman and that IS cute and I WILL have to photo that up and post. I used Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke as my two colors. I also used the trim border punch for the bottom and the Pearl embellishments (love those) and of course I couldn't resist some Dazzling Diamond to glitter it up. I like pink so I chose the pink bauble and tied a little piece of Bravo Burgundy Ribbon to the chain. I made a few inserts for my necklace using designer series paper and the Jolly Bingo bits. If I remember I will post a picture of just the different inserts I created for it. The creating is lots of fun and when you have it all enclosed in the charm they really look pretty. So, if you have been contemplating the Simply Adorned line I give it a thumbs up!

Butterflies!

Whilst my wonderful husband was away bear hunting I also installed (stuck) this wonderful Rose Red Butterfly Decor Elements to "our" bedroom wall. It was quick and fun! To start off I cut all the butterflies by chunks from the sheet. They don't come in a "flock" like coordination. So we get to arrange them however we like! I really like the wispy pattern in the catalogue so I tried to re-create it on my wall. I arranged the little guys with tape to get the flow that I wanted. Then, one by one, I started to adhere them to the wall. It went really quick. But. . . . there is always a but when I try to do something. . . one of the guys fallen off the wall and I didn't notice him missing when I went to move the rocker back I noticed a big one on the floor. Well, he certainly didn't fit how I had them arranged so I stuck him on another wall by a picture frame. There's yet another but. . . . the butterfly was one of those goofy shaped ones that standing alone doesn't really look like a butterfly but half a butterfly and a blob (he was to look like he was flying belly first with the group). After a week of leaving it I decided it didn't look right and I decided to remove him. . . gasp! I was really worried about removing him as my husband was freaking out that it would tear the paint off the wall and he'd have to "fix" the drywall. (side note here: my husband doesn't like to finish dry-wall but when he's done it looks like a professional did it!) Well, it came off without a hitch! Now, mind you it had only been there a week and couple days not "years". However, I have been told that if Decor Elements are up for "years" the best way to get them off is to eat lightly with a "hair dryer" and remove gently. When we repaint. . . which will be a very long time. .. I will report in how that went!

Happy Monday Stampers!

I just have to share this. . . it's a Posty Note Holder! Isn't it just the cutest? I got the idea from Angie Juda. She's my all-time favorite demonstrator in the top 10 of Stampin' Up! The woman rocks in the stamping world.

The squares are actually chipboard that I cut 4 x 4 and corner round using the Round-It-All by Bind-It-All. I covered inside out the back and cover. On the inside of each I used card stock and on the cover I used Designer Series Paper. I used the Bind-It-All to bind the pieces together. It was quick and fun to make.

Decor Elements!

Yes, stampers, this is the first time I have ever blogged about Decor Elements. Why? It's not stamping! But, I just have to share with you my experience and of course there is a story. So, get a cup of Joe, tea or whatever you enjoy drinking, sit back, and enjoy while you read! Isn't it perfect? I can't believe it was so easy to install! My husband is a hunter and this past weekend was Bear Season so of course he took off to sit in the cold. I know about this every year so I plan things I can do while he's away that he might possibly frown over. When I mean frown I'm talking about alterations to the house. I won't paint or anything that drastic as usually that turns out to be a dreaded disaster. Two years ago I bought a little table and chairs for my craft room; last year I bought new bedding and curtains for our bedroom and this year. . . Decor Elemented the bedroom (which by far is the cheapest yet)! It took TJ and I 20 minutes to locate the level. Why? I'm not sure it wasn't in any place I would have stored one, but I did find a little cheesy one that worked just fine. First I taped the Decor Element piece up in place so I could see how it looked and measured to be sure I had it pretty close to centered. I then placed the level vertical to get a straight line. Then, I peeled part of the backing off and placed the tape on the pencil line so it was right on the line and started squeegeeing and pealing the paper back off and woola! It's perfect! See the floral stuff on the headboard? Well, there are mini-lights tucked in it and at night with those little lights on it adds a romantic ambiance to the room! It's perfect and EASY! Hi Stampers!

Wow, it's been a little since I have last posted. I've been a bit busy. Really, I have! I have a couple really cool things to blog about the next couple of days. Some projects are time sensitive so I have to post things in order and you'll realize why when ready each of them!

I had a fun workshop (aren't they all?) a week ago Sunday. What a week that week was prior to the workshop. My sister had a birthday party scheduled for her son and scheduled it for the same time as my workshop. You know it took me until Saturday before to realize I double booked my time? It took my Mom (what would I do without her) to call me and question me about the workshop and then the party. I felt like a real. . . well a real. . . heal. I had the workshop booked well in advanced and it was an hour from home and with the weather this time of year being iffy there was no way I was postponing the workshop. I called my sister, she is much more gracious than I am, she gladly changed the time so everything worked out. I get all flustered when things get discombobulated (is that word, yup spell checker caught it and you don't want to see how I thought it was spelled!) in my day. Any way, the workshop turned out really fun and the ladies liked my projects which always makes me happy!

Getting ready for the workshop I wanted to use the Big Shot for the Hostess gift and I wanted to use Fabric. I made a rug mug using the Candy Cane Designer Series Fabric and Big Buttons and the Bigz Clear Scallop Sqaure Die. I made a sandwich of my fabric, batting, fabric and cranked it all through the Big Shot at once. Then with embroidery floss I stitched simply "X's" in each corner to hold the layers together. In one corner I stitched on one of those Big Buttons from the Holiday Mini. I then made the favor box and adorned the box with a stamped image from Merry Crittermas (stamp set) also from the Holiday Mini. I tied it up with Regal Rose Grosgrain Ribbon. I even stuck an incentive stamp inside. It was the perfect Hostess Gift and so much fun to make and best of all quite easy!

When I'm not stamping. . .

When I'm not stamping, cleaning, cooking or reading I "try" to sew! This is a project that I started some time ago. I have a good friend, Barb that a year ago got into quilting and "Oh my heavens" has she been a-quilting! I introduced her to my Mom who is an avid sewer / quilter and well the rest is lost between the stitches! So, last year we decided to get together during the winter months to sew on Saturday's a couple times a month. We, also decided, to have a "project" that we would all do "together" and our first project is the Dresden Table Topper above along with four matching coasters. Well (clear voice) after a year mine is finally done! Actually we all got together a few Saturdays ago (my sister, Jeannie has also joined our group) and put the finishing touches on our table toppers and coasters and I finished adhering the backing just Sunday night. I thought I'd post seeing that I'm having "down" time from stamping! Sewing isn't like stamping for me. I have to think to sew and stamping just comes to me. So, when I refer to me as "trying" I really have to put some effort into it. I'm happy to say that the more I "try" the easier it is coming along. I'm working on a table runner for Christmas with my Mom. I'm hoping it won't take me a year to post! So, when I'm finished I will check back with a picture and chat about it!

I finally got my composition notebook covered! I started this project. . . um . . .over a month ago. As I'm working away at it yesterday I had to stop and ask myself. . . "exactly why did this take so long?". Have you ever had one of those projects that seemed daunting only to finish it and say "now why did I poke on that"? Well, this was it and it was so darn easy. The most time consuming step of the whole creation was waiting for the glue to dry that holds the fabric on the front and back! I'm not exactly sure how or when I'll use this book. Uh, it's to pretty to use! I tell myself that and then never use it! I'm not going to do that with this. I think I will use it for Internet searching notes. Well I'll put the recipe below and my words of Wisdom this Sunday is don't leave something to do tomorrow if you can do it today! Yeah, right! We'll see about all that!

Tag Workshop!

Candy Hiders!

I'm getting ready for a workshop tomorrow night and I couldn't help myself make some more Chocolate Candy Hiders! I don't usually take treats to workshops but with Halloween so near I just couldn't help spread the cheer! I even made an alternative for folks that might not be a fan of Halloween. So, I made a "Fall" treat as well.

I used the Spider Web Embossing Folder to create the backdrop for the bat. I used the Scallop Oval Punch to punch ovals to put one of my Dazzling Bats (see previous post). After fitting the black around the candy bar I tied it off with the black 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon trimmed with white. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to pop the scallop piece away from the project and then popped the bat off as well!

For the fall treat I used Always Artichoke card stock with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder. I wrapped with Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon and tied off. I then used the Pumpkin #4 Sizzlits Die to create the Pumpkin with Pumpkin Pie card stock. I colored in the pumpkin stem with Always Artichoke Stampin' Write Marker and used a Q-tip with Always Artichoke ink to spread make it look sort of greenish yet. I then sponged the outside of the pumpkin with Pumpkin Pie ink.

Saturday I spent the day with my sewing group. It's not "my" group but a bunch of us that like to get together and sew!

I made these cute little chocolate hiders as a treat for the day. I call them chocolate hiders because they can contain chocolate and when you walk by it you don't see the actual candy so it doesn't make you want to eat it! I know. . . head games! But, isn't it cute? I used the Bigz Die Milk Carton and Basic Black Card stock to make the Milk Carton. I then used a strip of Pumpkin Pie that I crimped. Now, there is a tool I haven't used much lately. . . the crimper! I then tied a piece of Raven Lace around the center of the Pumpkin Pie piece and just simply knotted it off. With the new Bat Punch I punched my bat. Now came the fun part! I wanted the bat to glisten and I couldn't think of how to do that so I took my 2-Way glue Pen and glued up the one side of the bat and put it in my Powder Pal Tray and sprinkled it with Dazzling Diamonds and sat it aside to dry. With the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set I stamped the Happy Halloween in Basic black and sponged with black around the perimeter of the Large Oval Punch. With the X-Large Oval Punch I punched another oval using Old Olive Card Stock. After the bat was dry I used Stampin' Dimensionals to "pop" it off the project. To top it off or close it up I used a Library Clip from the Clearance Rack (and yes, they are still available in the Clearance Rack).

All the ladies loved it! The best part of it I'm not all that good of a sewer (that's my opinion) but I'm certainly a papercrafter so I enjoyed having them oooooh and aaaah over my creation!

Winter Wonderland!

Winter Wonderland! Yikes! Not yet! This is another 10-10 card we made on Saturday. One of my customers summed it up by saying "this is such a simple card but is so pretty". Yes, that's right and I was thrilled when I made it as I was thinking just what she commented on. With the right colored card stock and great products such as the Textured Embossing Folders you can turn ordinary into extraordinary!

Today's card features Bashful Blue and Whisper White card stock. The Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is the Northern Flurry folder from the Holiday Mini Catalog. The pretty snowflake is from the Northern Frost Sizzlit die in the Holiday Mini I put a Silver Metallic Brad (Holiday Mini Catalog) in the center and assembled the entire card. I stamped Winter Wonderland from the Bright Christmas stamp set (Holiday Mini) in Bashful Blue. After the card was completed I then Smooched Spritzed with the Vanilla Shimmer.

I sure love that Holiday Mini! I hope the next Mini is just as wonderful!

This past Saturday I had my annual Christmas 10-10 workshop. What a nice day it turned out to be! I will be posting a few cards, that were my favorite, from the day throughout this week.

Today's post is featuring the Christmas Postcard stamp from the Holiday Mini Catalog (#121428 $9.95). The background card stock is Crumb Cake, Bravo Burgundy is up next and textured with the Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder, Very Vanilla was cranked through the Big Shot using the Top Note Die. I used Bravo Burgundy 5/8" Grosgrain (retired) with Very Vanilla 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon in the center and adhered the Top Note down with two Gold Brads on each side. After coloring with Bravo Burgundy, Riding Hood Red, Garden Green, Always Artichoke, Crumb Cake and Going gray (retired) I spritzed the entire card with the Gold Glow Smooch Spritz. Everyone loved the card and they really ooh'd and aww'd (are those words?) over the Gold Glow Smooch Spritz. The Spritz surely made the card!

I should be back to normal with posting a couple times a week. I've had major internet issues. Finally Verizon sent me a new Modem Router and it appears to be working beautifully!
